Poppy Seed Fundraiser

What?

Eighth grade's Junior Master Gardener program is teaming up with THE UNITED STATES WORLD WAR ONE CENTENNIAL COMMISSION ‚Äčto raise money to help build the world war one monument in Washington D.C. We help buy selling poppy seeds for 2$ a packet.

Why?

Poppies grew on the war-torn battle fields of World War One. We sell them to honor and remember those who gave their lives.

Where?

Right here in our community! Our Junior Master Gardeners all meet right here at Elysian Fields Middle school.

When?

Now, through October 16th.

Also...

You're helping us too! When you buy these seeds, a small portion goes to our local Junior Master Gardener class.

Update!

Our Junior Master Gardeners sold a grand total of 400 poppy seed packets. This means we raised 800$!!! We would like to thank those who bought these seeds to support the cause. And our students are excited to know that the teachers are giving them a pizza party to celebrate.
