My name is Cheryl Futrell and I am the fifth grade science teacher here at Elysian Fields Elementary. I grew up in a small town in north Lousiana. I graduated from Louisiana Tech Unversity with a B.A and M.A. For twenty years, I taught school in Arkansas. I taught in a magnet school where I taught fifth grade and I taught remedial reading classes for grades 2-6. For several years I was in charge of the school's science fair. In 1997, I came to Elysian Fields when I married a local E.F. native, Trae Futrell. I have three children: Derrick, Darby, and Dannon.
I have a son-in-law and a beautiful granddaughter named Carmen. My hobbies are cooking, gardening, reading, and bass fishing. I like to ride four-wheelers and go deer hunting with my husband. I love teaching school and E.F. is the Best school in Texas. Go Yellow Jackets!!!
