EFISD School Counselor Newsletter
A hello from your school counselors who love you!
How are you feeling?
1- Get some sunshine! Being in the sun is good for both your physical and mental health. Get outside and go for a walk or run, play catch, blow bubbles, use sidewalk chalk- anything that makes you happy and lets you soak up the sun!
2- Make a schedule. You are not going to be on the same schedule you were during the regular school year, so set a new one! Try to wake up, eat meals, and go to bed at the same time every day.
3- Set aside time for school work. This is going to be different for everyone. You might be most productive in the morning, mid- afternoon, or maybe late at night. Try to focus your work on school at the same time every day.
4- Pick up a hobby! This is a great time to learn something new, and the internet is full of productive educational tools. We can't get out and buy supplies, but there are lots of things you can do for free! Try yoga, singing, learning to dance, learning a new language, or even learn to make shadow puppets!
5- Talk to a friend- reach out to your friends, your family, your school counselor, or your teachers. This can be a lonely time, but we are all going to get through it together!
And If You Need Something Happy....
We are here for you!
