We owe a large thank you to  Randall Segraves of A&M, Matt Garrett of Harrison Extension Agency, and Jennifer Scasta who pointed us in the right direction. We learned how the plants surrounding us affect our daily lives by laying out our daily schedules. We went home and reported every product in our daily routine that uses plants. Our second lesson consisted of us learning the three types of soil and how water flows through them. We used bottles cut in half and filled them with big rocks which represented sand, marbles which represented clay, and fish rocks which represented silt. We then used a coffee filter and filtered water through the different objects showing. This showed us how slow or fast water flows through them.  We also began working on our greenhouse and laid down the base of the floor and the roof.
