The EFISD Information Technology (I.T.) Department is committed to supporting the school district with educational, student-centered technologies designed to motivate and inspire learning. To help produce competitive graduates, the EFISD I.T. Department assists teachers and students by providing technology that is relevant to today’s professional and educational environments.
The EFISD I.T. Department strives to offer cost-effective and innovative technology solutions for the district. We have implemented a 1:1 ratio of Chromebooks for students and also support Windows PC learning labs and more. Our goal is to provide engaging technology for both teachers and students. Students have opportunities to participate in courses such as BIMS, web design, programming, and more. Teachers benefit from access to Google Classroom for cloud-based instruction, as well as interactive professional development through online courses and resources. The EFISD I.T. Department works to create an environment where technology supports the needs of modern students, helping them build a strong foundation for a technology-driven future.
The EFISD I.T. Department manages a district-wide 10-gigabyte fiber optic network that connects more than 1,600 internet-enabled devices. We support both wired and wireless devices, including desktop PCs, laptops, Chromebooks, projectors, televisions, tablets, and more. These devices provide students with access to a vast array of information and learning opportunities. Our entire district is equipped with wired and wireless access, and teachers have access to various tools such as projectors, interactive displays, or Chromecast-connected televisions. Telephone connectivity is handled through a modern VOIP system, and cloud-based email is available to all staff and students.
