Three EFHS Students Earn Adobe Certifications

Posted Date: 4/08/25 (3:07 PM)

EFHS seniors Kayla Hay, Nikki Silas, and Lilianna Cooper have completed certifcation requirements to become Adobe Certified Professionals in Visual Design using Adobe Photoshop.
To earn certification, must have 150 hours of experience with an Adobe Creative Cloud application. They must then take a certification exam.
According to Mrs. Amanda Ware, EFHS Journalism/Photograph teacher, certification hours come from hands-on experience, courses, and tutorials. The exam includes 30-45 questions that must be completed in 50 minutes. Questions include "selected-response items and activities that challenge" students "to solve problems using the Creative Cloud application."
Per the Adobe website: "By validating their knowledge of powerful apps like Adobe Photoshop as well as creative best practices, Adobe Certified Professionals stand out to employers, clients, and collaborators who seek artistic talent, technical know-how, and the drive to work smarter. Although portfolios and demo reels are critical to hiring in creative fields, they don’t always tell the full story. Adobe Certified Professional badges garner attention and trust by demonstrating the practical skills necessary for success on the job. Mastering the tools of the trade also enhances creativity and productivity. By preparing for certification, creators fill gaps in their knowledge and improve their workflows, allowing them to produce higher-quality work with greater ease."
Congratulations to Kayla, Nikki, and Lilianna on this outstanding accomplishment!
