Krystal Woodley, an EFHS alum who currently serves a variety of roles as an EFHS teacher, was named the new Assistant Principal at the high school.

Brooke Michel, who currently serves as Special Education, ESL and Content Mastery teacher at Elysian Fields Elementary, will now serve as the Assistant Principal at Elysian Fields Middle School.

Woodley returned to her high school alma mater in 2008 after earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Theatre Education from East Texas Baptist University in December 2008. She currently teaches English IV along with serving as EFHS Theatre Arts teacher, Theatre Production, and Debate and Extemporaneous Speaking coach.

Woodley earned a Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University in June 2018.

Michel began her career in public education in 2003, when she served as a pre-kindergarten teacher in Jacksonville ISD. Since then, she has held positions in Murchison ISD, Waskom ISD, McKinney ISD and Marshall ISD. She previously taught Special Education and Intervention Math in Elysian Fields ISD in the 2012-2013 school year before returning to EFISD in August of 2021.

Michel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2002, and an Education Certification from LeTourneau University (2003). She earned a Master of Education from ETBU in 2019.

She will assume the role of Assistant Principal at EFMS, which will be a new position at the campus under Principal Jacqueline Hill.
