Elysian Fields ISD voters have approved Propositions A and B in the district's May 2024 bond proposal, clearing the path for a new elementary school and renovations, replacements and additions to both Elysian Fields High School and Elysian Fields Middle School.
With both early voting and Election Day totals posted in Harrison and Panola counties, Proposition A carried by 56.6 percent of the vote, while Proposition B carried by 52.8 percent. A total of 376 district voters cast a vote in the election across both counties.

"To our voters – thank you for saying yes to our kids and teachers. Our students and staff deserve the best, and they will get that with the passing of these bond propositions. This win is for each and every one of our current and future students, as well as our community."

Proposition A includes a new elementary school serving students in grades PreK-5th grade at a site to be determined. Also included in this proposition were roof and HVAC replacements at both EFHS and EFMS, as well as controlled access vestibules at both secondary schools.
Passage of Proposition A also includes moving the EFISD Transportation Department to the current EFES facility, as well as electrical and plumbing upgrades. The district will also be able to purchase three new, air-conditioned school buses.
Proposition B included the demolition and replacement of the old fieldhouse at Jacket Stadium.
