Working Together at Home

Dear Elysian Fields ISD Parents & Guardians,

During our suspension of operations, student learning continues to be a priority in EFISD.  While the health and safety of our students, staff, and community remain our top priority, we also want to help our students to extend their learning as much as they can until school can resume.

Our teachers are working to create meaningful, review activities for students. Lessons and activities will be provided as an extension designed in an attempt to accommodate all families. On the district page next Tuesday, you will be able to find at home learning activities you can use with your child(ren). We encourage you to access the information provided and to have your child spend time on the content each day, along with a few life experiences called chores.

Additionally, paper learning packets filled with activities for families without internet access can be picked up in front of each  campus.  Library books may also be returned at the front of each campus too.

Currently, this is a short-term plan, intended to keep our kids engaged over the next few weeks. While we know this method will not fully replace face-to-face instruction, it will help reduce gaps in learning.

Our entire team will make a concerted effort to continue meeting the needs of our student(s).  If you have additional questions or concerns regarding home-based learning over the next few weeks please contact your child’s teacher or administrator. We are all available to help!

Thank you for your continued prayers, support, and understanding during this time.
